RL is exhausting!

Hey I've been in RL since thursday! The weather has been very nice and I've been outdoors allmost every minute at my parents place. Came back this afternoon and I'm beat! The sun made me all pink (ooops too much RL info *giggles*)and got me a head ache.

I really should be going to bed, but i can't go just yet..... I am missing someone..... where is he? RL is a bitch sometimes ;))

Death

Yeah I know, not an uplifting topic. But sometimes it just seem to shout at you. This needs to be braught up today.

As I was wandering around second sweden, taking pictures for this blog, to show you a dying sim (it is going to be completely removed on friday), I got an IM: "He is dead"

It was Bafana who told me that our partner at Africa Live had died. Some while ago, he told us he was gonna be away for some time for an operation. He never came back. In SL he was known as Nestor Zeplin.

He contributed a lot to our group and donated a lot of land. As I heard, he had done so much for human rights and the environment in his RL, and also helped individuals all through his life. He was a very very good man. One of those, you know. He wasn't only a kind man, he accually did something to change the world. And it was his mission to do it every day.

He died on may 13, 2009.


He loved the earth
he loved the green
He lived to change
earths fate forseen

His heart was big
for those in need
For the fate of man
it beated indeed

For human rights
he faught
Justice for all
he saught

He knew that papers are thin
thinner than human hearts within

He won that battle
but didn't hesitate
There is always more
his work was great

through his pain

where others would fail
He was determined
and did not bail

He is lost
but not gone
In our hearts
he lives on

I know, I'm not a poet, but what else can I say? It's a loss.

You know what death tells us though? Take care of those around us while they still are here, cuz one day you might be saying "I wish I had known him/her better".

CUTE shopping!

Yeah I did it again! By chance I ended up in a really really cute and enchanted place!(ty Zarra Giha) It's a shopping district of a few sims (I think I saw 3 but it could be more, I'm not sure) and it's CUTE! Alleyways with flowers everywhere and small shops with that old town feel to the textures. Here and there you find little gifts. And the prizes are really affordable!

This shop "First look" seemed to have some kind of 1L-drive. Everything in the store was 1L. Do I need to say more? They were really cute things too!

Then I happened to wander off into the bush.... and it was sooooo nice! A whole sim with "cottage garden" things. I followed a pathe and got lost. Later I understood I went in through the back door. But I really loved it. even the music was great. I rarely play the music in SL as it mostly disturb my peace, but not this one.

Well the thing is... I ran out of money, so I couldn't take more pictures. But I promise there are more cute things than this!! MUCH more, and even cuter! The way I see it, you just gotta go there to see for yourself!

quick build

I was thinking about how to make an island, and how do I show someone what I mean? I can't draw a basic scetch like I would do in RL with pen and paper. Then suddenly i got it... why do I not just build it with the things I have in my inventory. And then, with two kinds of sculpties and a lot of copies I had my island-thingy. Very scetchy, but in the right angles you can almost imagine what I mean. I put Jazzoru Otoole's "skärgårdsstuga" on it and a tree and tadaaaa!

Street Dermatology

Look what I found! Yet another skin. This time, though, with a twist. It's made to look like a giraffe. It's so well done, that if you look closely, you will see the hairs in the giraffeskin in the pathces, and still it blends in so well with the human part of it. It's not like all those pantherskins that seem to be so abundant. Or maybe it is tatoos they are wearing? Anyway, this is on a whole different level! This is true art. I, ofcourse, wear the choco version, but included was also a milk version.

In Second Sweden nowadays, there seems to always be something happening. I few days now, a group called "Tillsammans" (together) has been sending notices about something mysterious that's about to happen. Small, white creatures has been gathering here and there in second sweden, looking up in aw.

Yesterday we finally got the answer to what they were looking at when a beam appeared. No, it was not the avatar Ui Beam, but a beam of light. I followed the beam and got swooped away to a mystical platform high in the sky.

I wasn't expecting anything special, but i was stunned. I don't know, maybe I was just in the right mood, but I really liked the place. So much so, that I took 15 snaps just to show you guys!

Aallotar was DJing for the first time and she was great! I usually don't like that kind of music(what's it called? House? Trance? Rave? or something completely different), but this was good even for me!


I can't find the word for this little dance sky place in english... but I can truely say it is "trollsk" in swedish ;) (figure it out, lol)

Well after dancing a bit, I got TPd away.... Bafana waited to give me my much needed hug ;))

I went to bed extremely early and slept extremely well.

To those of you that aren't swedish, this week is great to visit second sweden, it seems to be events everyday. Usually around noon SL time (because thats 9 PM swedish time). There's even a couple of new sims open. And we hove our famous embassy! WELCOME! :)
